Young people in Northern Ireland must learn more about democracy and theparliamentary process despite not having an operational Assembly at Stormont says JCI.
Tomorrow (Thursday, February 23, 2006) one hundred students (13-18 year-olds) will betaking part in the 25th Annual JCI Youth Parliament sponsored by Heyn Engineering at
Belfast City Hall.
They will join some of Northern Ireland’s leading political figures in a debate entitled:
THE CHANGES PROPOSED FOR EDUCATION IN NORTHERN
IRELAND WILL HAVE A POSITIVE EFFECT
Lord Mayor of Belfast, Councillor Wallace Browne will introduce the event followed byan address by the keynote speakers Sir Kenneth Bloomfield and Martin McGuinness.
